HP ATA – Networks

Now is time to know more about HP ATA Networks certification. This certification provides the knowledge and experience required to discover and meet the business objectives of a small and medium business (SMB) and to design a wired and wireless switched and routed solution that meets their unique requirements. The certification also includes the knowledge and skill to deploy and troubleshoot the solution.

The skills you are going to learn are:

1. Explain and recognize networking technologies and their implications for customer needs

1.1 Describe the OSI model

1.2 Describe and recognize the most common data link protocols and their associated physical connections (layers 1 and 2)

1.3 Describe layer 3 routing concepts with detailed focus on IP

1.4 Identify common dynamic routing protocols and describe their function on a network

1.5 Describe the purpose and function of layer 4 (transport) protocols on an IP network

1.6 Describe the common IP-based upper layer (layers 5, 6, and 7) protocols and applications

Some days ago we were spoken about IT certifications, and we were talking about HP ATA program.

Now is time to know more about the HP ATA program.

Today we are going to speak about: Connected Devices Certification (the course details are):

HP lanza su certificación ATA

HP ha lanzado al mercado su certificación HP Accredited Technical Associate (ATA), un programa muy enfocado a la formación de profesionales del sector IT, o para aquellos que disfruten del mundo IT, con un sistema muy completo de formación, el cual incluye el material necesario para formarse en las diferentes materias de estudio, es decir los libros, prácticas en los laboratorios virtuales de HP, posibilidad de hacer una serie de exámenes de práctica que nos permitirán medir el nivel de nuestro conocimiento, y por último el examen de certificación oficial de la propia marca.

Una de las características fundamentales, y diferenciadoras, de esta formación y certificación, es que ofrece al estudiante la posibilidad de realizar prácticas en un laboratorio virtual, lo cual permite al nuevo profesional certificado hacer pruebas con las mismas máquinas o entornos, que luego se encontrará en el desarrollo profesional de su actividad.

HP ATA ofrece formación en las siguientes 4 competencias:

  1. Connected Devices (Dispositivos)
  2. Network (Redes)
  3. Servers and storage (Servidores y almacenamiento)
  4. Cloud (Nube)

Las competencias que se preparan en cada uno de estos cuatro niveles son diversas, no obstante voy a daros una pequeña pincelada sobre las mismas:

  1. Connected Devices: solución muy enfocada al desarrollo de soluciones donde deben conectarse diversos dispositivos (ordenadores, tablets, …) teniendo en cuenta no solo la instalación y administración de los mismos, sino también el mantenimiento y resolución de incidencias.
  2. Networks: solución absolutamente enfocada al diseño e implantación de un sistema de red, tanto con cableado como inalámbrica. Por supuesto que la solución incluye también el mantenimiento y las tareas administrativas de la misma.
  3. Servers and storage: solución enfocada al diseño, implantación y mantenimiento de servidores y almacenamiento, incluyendo el software necesario y la administración del sistema.
  4. Cloud: solución muy novedosa, hay que decir que para acceder a esta certificación debemos haber obtenido anteriormente las otras tres certificaciones. Cloud nos prepara para poder diseñar una solución en la nube que tenga en cuenta aspectos como alojamientos, virtualización, …, de forma que podamos gestionar una solución integral respetando los estándares de la tecnología en la nube.

Y todo esto con la certificación oficial de una marca de primera línea como es HP, una certificación muy reconocida por el entorno empresarial, y que sin duda nos abrirá muchas opciones laborales al aportarnos una ventaja competitiva sobre otros candidatos a un puesto de trabajo, a un ascenso o simplemente a la hora de querer incrementar nuestros conocimientos.
